UAB Laumetris offers grain crushers of various power. The modern way of preparing fodder by crushing grains has several advantages compared to the old method based on cutting:
- Significant economy of electricity.
- Production of high-quality easily-absorbed fodder.
- Economy in working time.
The crushers have a three shaft system with two crushing openings. The grains pass through them in sequential order. First, the grains are crushed as they pass the larger opening, then they are processed further going through the smaller one. This allows to achieve a higher quality of the end product. Moreover, grains of various sizes can be crushed during the same operation (for instance maize, beans, peas together with oat and barley). The width of the first opening is fixed, while the width of the second one can be adjusted.
The transmission of a grain crusher can be mechanical (based on a train of gears) or of the belt type.
