UAB Laumetris sells disc hay mowers of various working widths (from 1.80 to 3.90 m), which can be either mounted or trailed. These mowers are designed for cutting fresh grass and forming swath. Disc mowers require about 20% less power than drum mowers of the same cutting width – this allows to achieve big economic gains.
The cutting height of these mowers is up to 7 cm. Wear-resistant “Hardox” steel discs ensure a long-lasting service of the mowers. All the hay mowers comply with the EU standards.
Disc mowers, offered by us, are provided with hydro cylinders, which are used for lifting the mower in the transportation position. When operating these mowers, power transmission shafts with protective couplings must be used.
Along the mowers on offer (operating width from 2.20 to 2.60 m), either a conditioner or a crushing machine can be used. The condicioner allows the hay to dry out several times faster, there is no need for turning it. This leads to a reduced number of passes by agricultural machines and hence significant economic benefits. Due to the “breathing” of hay, when using such a machine, less nutritional components of the hay are lost. When using a crusher, stems of the grass are pressed without damaging, the mown grass is spread and receives a good amount of air.

We offer a large-width (3.90 m) disc mower which can be used in order to modernise self-propelled hay mowers “Fortschritt” E-301 and E-302. These mowers are mounted instead of the old scythe-type. This is a very economical disc mower, suitable for larger farms. Swath limiters form a steady swath having a width of up to 2 m.
