Plough

UAB Laumetris produces mounted ploughs with 2-5 bodies, semi trailed ploughs with 2-7 bodies and reversible turn ploughs with 3-4 bodies, having a spring or hydro-pneumatic protection. Ploughing the soil destroys pests and disease-inducing germs, forms favourable conditions for plant growing and better yields. The aim of ploughing is to completely turn over a slice of earth, totally cover plant remains, destroy weeds, loosen the soil surface. This can be achieved by using high-quality implements.

Turn ploughs, produced by UAB Laumetris, can be used for ploughing light, medium and heavy soils to a maximum depth of 25cm. A plough provides optimal results when the height of plants or stubble is up to 25cm, and the slope angle does not exceed 9. Spring or hydro-pneumatic protection of plough bodies allows to work in stony soils. The distance between the bodies is 91cm. The optimum working speed is 9km/h. The wrought ploughshares, used in the ploughs of UAB Laumetris, have a forward extruding “nose” with an about 10mm bent-back tip. The working surface of the semi-helical mouldboard meets the soil at a lesser angle than the plough overall moving direction, the ploughshare has a smaller angle of soil cutting. This reduces the required towing power. Plough mouldboards have extensions which serve to improve the turning over of the slice and reduce the wear of the rear section of the mouldboard.
